A global protein bar forecast can inform a sourcing discussion, but it cannot establish demand for a particular brand or production line. Buyers need to understand the forecast's definition, geography, base year and method before turning a market estimate into a manufacturing commitment.
Check whether the report measures retail value, manufacturer revenue or physical volume and which product types it includes. Compare forecasts only when those boundaries are compatible. This guide does not present an independently verified global market-size estimate; a numerical forecast should be cited to an identifiable report and its assumptions.
Translate the commercial plan into production scenarios for your own product. Estimate trial orders, repeat demand and a slower launch, then examine batch minimums, packaging commitments and shelf-life exposure under each scenario. A high category growth rate does not remove the risk of unsold stock.
Ask co-manufacturers to quote the same formulation and volume scenarios. Review ingredient availability, line fit, changeovers and the evidence needed before release. Keep capacity reservations flexible where possible until sample approval and actual order signals justify larger commitments.
