A delegation map shows which decisions and responsibilities move from a founder or manager to the team. It is particularly useful when informal approval habits begin to slow a growing organization.
List recurring decisions and distinguish advice, approval and final authority. For each delegated area, define the outcome, spending or risk boundaries and situations that require escalation. Give the responsible person access to the information needed to decide.
Review the map after real decisions, including exceptions. If a manager repeatedly reverses delegated choices without new evidence, the authority is not meaningful. Adjust the boundaries and coaching before taking every decision back.

This page uses open and institutional references as a frame; the final decision still belongs to the company record, threshold and owner.
