For food, identify relevant composition, labelling, traceability and certificate requirements. For machinery, identify the model, configuration and technical or conformity evidence required in the destination. Assign competent reviewers rather than ask sales staff to infer compliance from a catalogue description.

Keep commercial, packing and transport information consistent with the supplied goods. Review lot or serial identifiers and the scope of supporting reports. Check special documents with the importer and responsible authorities early enough to arrange testing or issuance.

Confirm the file before dispatch and preserve its approved version. Record changes to formulation, configuration or packing that affect documents. Shipping the goods successfully does not prove that all market-entry requirements were satisfied.
